About

Finding the right contractor shouldn't feel this hard.

We started evengate. because hiring someone you trust, and feeling confident you're paying a fair price, is still harder than it should be.

What we do

The right job, the right contractor, without the chase.

evengate. helps homeowners explain problems clearly, compare trustworthy contractors, and get to the right repair faster, without spending days chasing callbacks or vague pricing.

The work itself isn't the hard part. The chase is. We're taking that part out.

What we're not

Not a lead-generation site.

People hear "find a contractor online" and assume the worst, and usually they're right. Most platforms make money in ways that quietly work against both sides. We built evengate. to do the opposite, on purpose:

▸

We don't sell your information. Your problem isn't a lead to be auctioned. Contractors don't buy their way to you.

▸

We don't take payment to rank one contractor over another. No pay-to-play, no "featured" slots. Who you see isn't who paid the most.

▸

We don't blast your job to five companies and let them fight over it. The job goes out once. Qualified contractors quote on the work itself, without seeing each other's numbers, and you choose.

▸

No leads sold. No pay-to-play. No race to the bottom. Just a clear job, honest quotes, and your decision.

For contractors

A fair deal for contractors, too.

Good contractors are tired of paying for dead-end leads and racing strangers to the lowest price. evengate. is built to respect their time: real jobs, clear scope before they quote, and no race to the bottom. When the people doing the work are treated fairly and respectfully, you get better work.

Where we are

We started in Reno on purpose.

Reno is home. A real city with real housing stock: older homes alongside rapid new-build expansion, with so much population influx that even longtime residents don't know who to call anymore. Big enough that the problem is felt every day. Small enough that the work feels personal.

The homeowner guides

Written here, sourced out loud.

The homeowner guides are written and edited by the people building this, for Reno and Sparks homeowners. Every factual claim points to its source: the Nevada State Contractors Board, the statutes, the city and county building departments, the utilities, manufacturers and federal agencies. Examples are fictional and labeled that way. We don't publish price ranges we can't support, and we don't name contractors. When a guide touches a legal or technical question, it says who the question belongs to. Nothing in them is a diagnosis of your house or legal advice.
