A mini split installation includes more than the unit you see on the wall. The indoor and outdoor equipment need refrigerant lines, drainage, electrical connections and controls.
Where those connections go can change the work and how the finished installation looks. Discuss the route before choosing between quotes.

Is it an addition, an office or a room that's uncomfortable now? Do you expect the system to serve only that room, or other rooms too?
For an addition, share the planned insulation, windows and layout. The installer needs more than floor area to explain the size being recommended. The HVAC sizing guide covers that discussion.
Have the installer show where the indoor unit and outdoor equipment will go, how the outdoor unit is supported and how it can be reached for service.
Then ask where the refrigerant lines, wiring and drain will run. These lines connect the equipment; they don't disappear because the quote calls the system ductless. Ask which parts will be visible, how the wall opening is finished and whether paint or other repairs are included.
Condensate is water the system needs to drain. Find out where it goes and whether the installation uses a pump. If it does, ask about its maintenance along with the rest of the equipment.
Homeowner and contractor accounts in public forum discussions emphasize installer experience with the product and installation method.
Ask whether the company has installed the model it's recommending and can describe comparable work. Find out who handles service afterward, what startup checks you receive and what the equipment and labor warranties cover.
That gives you more to compare than a brand preference alone.
The electrician needs the selected equipment's requirements. Ask whether the installer arranges that work or whether you need to hire someone separately.
Include permits, inspection, wall repairs and completion checks in the written price. Confirm requirements with the building department for the property.
If more than one company is involved, the multiple contractor guide helps you assign the work between them before scheduling starts.
